Study abroad in Russia through EAP is currently not possible; however, numerous opportunities to study Russian abroad outside of Russia or in the US are available and we hope that EAP will soon offer Russian language study abroad programs again in other Russian-speaking regions.
Reach out to Russian program faculty to hear more about the many opportunities to study Russian abroad that exist in regions with Russian-speaking populations like Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, for example, or through intensive summer programs in the US.
Russian has been classified as a strategic language by the US government, encouraging its study. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Critical Language Scholarships provide fully funded intensive language instruction for U.S. citizens, while other funding for Russian studies in the US and abroad also exist.
